CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR

Opportunity

  • Up to 10 hours per week / no more than 40 hours per month
  • $20 per hour
  • Access to training and development of new skills

Requirements

  • Campaign Coordinators must have transportation and willing to transport others
  • Open to using technology such as a laptop or iPad
  • Attend weekly check-ins

Coordinator Goals

  • Achieve a tangible campaign win
  • Complete 125 one-to-one meetings
  • Secure at least 10 applications for 2021 Power Building Academy
  • Double size of campaign supporters

Responsibilities

Build a coalition:

  • Schedule and conduct one-on-ones
  • Follow-up with supporters to engage them in further actions - survey collection, letter collection, stake holder meetings.
  • Staff research actions
  • Track one-on-ones personally attended and those of other Power Builders
  • Coordinate with Lead Organizer on communication with supporters
  • Build awareness about the campaign
  • Make phone calls to St. Louis and/or East St. Louis residents

Drive turnout to campaign actions:

  • Send text, email, and phone calls to invite and remind supporters to attend actions
  • Prepare for actions
  • Follow-up with attendees after actions

General campaign management:

  • Attend weekly check-ins with WEPOWER team
  • Help prepare for and facilitate campaign check-ins with change makers and campaign supporters

Facilitation

  • Lead 1st two mini trainings for Power Building Academy
  • Staff mini trainings with Power Builders

    • Monday, May 29 5:30pm - 7:30pm
    • Tuesday, May 30 5:30pm - 7:30pm
  • Weekly campaign check-ins - You will determine with your lead organizer.
